Netflix to release 3D Sonic animated series in 2022

Although the film version of Sonic the Hedgehog was delayed and the design of the main character was modified, the movie version of Sonic the Hedgehog that appeared after Detective Pikachu has become the most successful movie adapted from a game. SEGA and film and television companies naturally cannot miss the opportunity to continue to make money for this sonic hedgehog. In addition to the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie that has been confirmed to be produced, today (December 11) Netflix announced that it will produce a 3D animation of Sonic the Hedgehog.

It is reported that the 3D Sonic animation produced by Netflix will be jointly created by SEGA, WildBrain and Man of Action, and will be broadcast in 2022. Apart from this, Netflix did not give any other information.

The "Sonic 2" movie will also be released in 2022, and Netflix's 3D animation will promote the 30th anniversary of Sonic's birth. I believe that related new game works have also entered the development stage.
