Space Battleship Yamato 2202 sequel theatrical version announced to be released in 2020

"Space Battleship Yamato", the masterpiece of the famous Japanese cartoonist Leiji Matsumoto, which can be regarded as the origin of Japanese animation, and the new remake of the TV animation theater "Space Battleship Yamato 2202", will have a sequel. On September 1, the official announced that the sequel theater will be named "2205 New Journey" and is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2020.

As a new remake of the classic animation "Space Battleship Yamato", the theatrical animation "Space Battleship Yamato 2202" will consist of a total of 7 chapters. The final chapter, Chapter 7, is named "Nova Arc" and is scheduled to be released on March 1, 2019. "Nova Arc" tells the epic story of the Yamato's brave advance to the center of the urban empire and the final battle in order to seize "Glem" with the power to destroy Gatlantis .
