The director of "Mulan" talked about why he chose Liu Yifei: She never complained about being tired

Recently, Niki Caro, the director of Disney's live-action film "Mulan", said in an interview that Liu Yifei is the best candidate for Mulan. Niki Caro talked about the reason for choosing Liu Yifei and revealed the interview process for Mulan, "After sitting on a 14-hour flight, she started the intense interview without rest and never complained about being tired. Yifei is a real "warrior" and my real partner on the "battlefield"!"

Recently, the movie "Mulan" released a set of character posters, with Liu Yifei playing Mulan, Donnie Yen playing General Tang, Gong Li playing the witch, Jet Li playing the emperor, Li Jie playing the Chanyu, and An Yousen playing Chen Honghui making their debut.

At the same time, due to some violent scenes and war scenes, "Mulan" was rated PG-13 in North America. This is the first live-action Disney movie adapted from an animation to receive this rating, and it is also the first Disney movie to receive a PG-13 rating after "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales". It is not difficult to see from this rating that, unlike Disney's previous live-action movies adapted from animations, "Mulan" will focus more on war and action scenes, and the story will be more adult. The film will be released in North America on March 27.
