Uncle Ba responded to replacing Depp as Grindelwald: It's still a rumor

Previously, we have reported that Mads Mikkelsen may replace Depp to play Greenwood. Today (November 19), according to IGN, Mads Mikkelsen responded to the news, saying that it is still just a rumor.

Mads Mikkelsen, who plays Uncle Pull, responded to the news to IGN: "It's still a 'rumor' at the moment, so I know as much as you read in the newspaper, so I'm also waiting for that call." Thanks to the fact that the casting of blockbusters nowadays often does not get confirmation from the actors in the early stages, netizens have expressed that they are still waiting for the film company to confirm whether Mads version of Grindelwald will be a success.

Warner previously issued a statement confirming Depp's dismissal and stating that the role of Grindelwald will be recast in the third film, which will be released in 2022. The release of the film has also been postponed to summer 2022 (previously planned for November 2021).
