Foreign media broke the news: The Weeknd, Doja Cat and others will participate in the music production of "Black Panther 2"

According to British media Metro, singers such as Doja Cat and The Weeknd are in talks to create new music for Marvel's new movie Black Panther 2: Long Live Wakanda. In addition, singers such as Solange and Stormzy will also join, and it is said that some of these singers may make cameo appearances in the film.

The goal of the film producers is to surpass the achievements of the first soundtrack. The soundtrack of the 2018 Marvel movie "Black Panther" was produced by American rapper Kendrick Lamar. The soundtrack album "Black Panther: The Album" topped the Billboard album chart with sales of 154,000 copies in the first week and won the 46th American Music Award for Best Original Soundtrack, and was nominated for the 61st Grammy Award for Album of the Year. The MV of the film's ending song "All the Stars" sung by him and SZA was nominated for the Best Original Song Award at the 91st Academy Awards.

This is not the first time that The Weeknd, a Canadian singer-songwriter, has participated in the music production of the Black Panther movie. In the first movie of the series, The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar sang the interlude "Pray for me", which was reflected in the action scenes of the protagonist Black Panther on the streets of South Korea, leaving a deep impression on the audience. American singer Doja Cat, who is well-known to Chinese netizens for her song "Say So", also sang in the DC superhero movie "Birds of Prey: Harley Quinn".

Since the first film, the production team of the "Black Panther" film has been committed to using an all-African team to create the film. From the script, actors, behind-the-scenes workers to music production, African personnel are used as much as possible to create an authentic African style. According to insiders, the storyline of "Black Panther 2: Long Live Wakanda" has been finalized, so the production team began to look for artists to create songs for the film.
