"Ghostbusters 3" and "Hold Your Breath 2" postponed

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a large number of Hollywood movies have been forced to postpone their releases. Recently, Sony has also delayed the release of two movies, "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" and "The Master's Breathing 2".

Ghostbusters: Afterlife, a direct sequel to the original two Ghostbusters films, was initially scheduled for release in July 2020, but was later pushed back to March 2021. It has now been pushed back again to June 11, 2021.

The thriller "Don't Breathe 2" has been postponed to August 13, 2021. The first film "Don't Breathe" was released in 2016 and gained both fame and fortune. Although the film had a budget of only $10 million, it earned $157 million at the global box office.

It’s worth mentioning that Ghostbusters 3: Afterlife will premiere in the second week of June 2021, which is the same week as the original movie, which was released on June 8, 1984.

The original two Ghostbusters films were one of the most successful comedies of the 1980s, directed by Ivan Reitman, the father of Jason Reitman, the director of the new film. The first two Ghostbusters films were released in 1984 and 1989 respectively.

About Ghostbusters 3:

A pair of young siblings followed their mother to the countryside, but in this remote and quiet town, a series of strange things happened, and a mysterious man who claimed to study supernatural phenomena quietly appeared. The film is directed by Jason Reitman (Up in the Air, Juno), starring Paul Rudd (Ant-Man series), Carrie Coon (Avengers: Endgame), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things series), McKenna Grace (Ready Player One), and Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and other actors from the previous film will return to perform sentimental killings.
