Zhang Hanyu will star in Huayi's new film "Railway Guerrillas 1939" to start shooting in December

Today (September 28), "Railway Guerrillas 1939" (tentative title), directed by Yang Feng, was officially announced, starring Zhang Hanyu, and will start shooting in Shandong in mid-December. The film stars Zhang Hanyu as the classic character "Lao Hong" (based on the real hero Hong Zhenhai).

"Railway Guerrillas 1939" tells the story of the heroic "Railway Team" in Lincheng Zaozhuang fighting wits and courage with the enemy and desperately defending their homeland during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. It has previously appeared in Huayi Brothers' 2021-2022 annual film list.

Director Yang Feng directed a documentary called "Flying Over Qilu 2012" in 2012 and the romance film "Red Dust 1945" in 2019. "Railway Guerrillas 1939" is his first historical battlefield-themed film.
