Norman Reedus: I want to continue to star in The Walking Dead for at least six or seven years

Since first being cast as Daryl Dixon in the third episode of The Walking Dead, Norman Reedus has played the character throughout the show's 11 seasons and also starred in the spin-off The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. In a recent interview, Norman Reedus expressed his hope to continue playing Daryl Dixon for years to come.

In an interview with Mr. Feelgood, Norman Reedus said he would be willing to continue playing Daryl Dixon for "maybe six or seven years" because the Daryl Dixon spin-off has reignited his interest in the series.

Norman Reedus said: "The Daryl Dixon spinoff gave me an opportunity to take the show in a different direction than the original. I didn't want to do the same show again in a different location. I wanted to reinvent it. They asked me to create something new with other like-minded people. So it feels fresh to me. It's in a different language. It's shot in a different way. It's not about zombies, it's not about who gets bitten this week, it's completely different. So as long as I keep reinventing it, it's fun."

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2 premieres on September 29 this year.
