The second season of the spin-off series of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, is currently airing. In the latest episode 3 of the second season, director Geeta Vasant Patel confirmed that there are Easter eggs from Game of Thrones in the series. In the third episode, in order to protect her children, Rhaenyra Targaryen entrusted Rhaenyra Targaryen to escort her sons Aegon and Viserys (including their baby dragons) and four unhatched dragon eggs away. Three of the dragon eggs are golden, red-black and green, and viewers who have watched Game of Thrones may find them very familiar. In an interview with foreign media "Mashable", Patel, the director of the third episode, revealed that these are "Daenerys' (dragon) eggs." Patel also said that since "all the people involved in the show are loyal fans of Game of Thrones, it was very exciting to shoot that scene." However, it is worth noting that in George RR Martin's original work, the three dragon eggs that eventually came into the hands of the "Dragon Mother" were actually transported to Essos long before the timeline of "House of the Dragon" Season 2. This adaptation may not satisfy everyone, but its Easter egg nature also makes it easy for many fans and viewers to accept it. Considering that the series has only entered the second season, it is estimated that there will be more Easter eggs and adaptations in the future. |
