Stephen Chow's second film "A Chinese Odyssey" will be re-screened nationwide on July 24

The long-awaited cinemas have finally reopened. On the first day, July 20, a total of 157,900 tickets were sold in cinemas across the country, with box office revenue exceeding 3.5 million, which is a good start for the resumption of work.

On July 21, the Chinese dubbing versions of "A Chinese Odyssey Part Two: Pandora's Box" and "A Chinese Odyssey Part Two: Cinderella" starring Stephen Chow will be re-screened nationwide from July 24. "A Chinese Odyssey" is a romantic tragicomedy film jointly produced by Stephen Chow's Color Star Film Company and Xi'an Film Studio, directed by Stephen Chow, starring Stephen Chow, Athena Chu, Ng Man-tat, Karen Mok and others.

"A Chinese Odyssey" consists of two parts, "Pancake Pandora's Box" and "Monkey King: Cinderella", telling a love story of mixed joys and sorrows across time and space. The film was released in Hong Kong and mainland China in 1995, but it was not until 1997 that it began to circulate in various universities and the Internet in mainland China and quickly became popular. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the film's release, "A Chinese Odyssey" was re-screened in mainland China on October 24, 2014.

The "A Chinese Odyssey" series became the pioneer of nonsensical classic films with its imaginative plot structure and creative classic lines.
