New stills of the movie version of "Monster Hunter" show the heroine showing the demon-like double sword slash

Following the official Twitter account of the movie version of "Monster Hunter" releasing a new weapon still of the heroine last month, today (July 8), the well-known British media Empire Online released an interview clip with the director and actors, and also announced a new still. The protagonist uses dual swords to enter the demon state and seems to be preparing to use the "Demon Combo". Let's take a look.

In the interview, the director talked about the possibility that moviegoers might not be familiar with the Monster Hunter game version, so they created a new original character, Artemis, played by Jovovich. She is the captain of the army and has to save her teammates in the movie. In addition, the director also revealed that Milla Jovovich and Tony Jaa are both fans of the Monster Hunter game. The character played by Jovovich in the movie uses the weapons and equipment she uses in the game. For example, the stills released this time using dual swords are her final choice after trying different weapons in the game.

The movie version of "Monster Hunter" is directed by Paul Anderson, the director of the movie series "Resident Evil", and stars his wife Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa, and Ron Perlman. The movie version of "Monster Hunter" will be released in North America on September 4, 2020.
