SE released the pilot PV of the animated version of "The World Ends with You" as promised today (July 4). The work is adapted from the Nintendo DS game of the same name released on July 27, 2007 (an enhanced version of the game was launched on the Switch platform in 2018).

Preview:

The game version of "Wonderful World" is set in Shibuya, Japan's trendy city. The protagonist Sakuraba Otoko is inexplicably involved in the "Death Game" by mistake. In the crowded Shibuya, the protagonist Otoko who wakes up is forced to participate in an unreasonable game. He must complete the tasks assigned by the Death God in order to continue to live.

However, the overly harsh tasks given by the "God of Death" and the appearance of the creepy monster "Noise" seem to make things difficult. What exactly is the "God of Death"? What is "Noise"? You can only continue the game if you survive for 7 days, otherwise you will be wiped out. Why did the God of Death game unfold, and what is the fate of Sakuraba Otoko...

According to the official announcement, the "Wonderful World" animation is scheduled to be released in 2021.
