Netflix's "Japan Sinks 2020" theme song released, premiering on July 9

Today (June 25), Netflix officially released the theme song of the sci-fi animation "Japan Sinks 2020" supervised by Masaaki Yuasa. The song "A Life" was written by Taeko Oonuki and composed by Ryuichi Sakamoto! This is a Netflix exclusive animation, which will premiere on July 9, 2020, so stay tuned.

"Japan Sinks" is a classic science fiction novel published by Sakyo Komatsu in 1973. It has been adapted into movies and animations many times. The new animation "Japan Sinks 2020" will be set in Tokyo just after the 2020 Olympics, telling the adventure story of an ordinary family of four in Tokyo during the crisis of the sinking Japanese archipelago.

"Japan Sinks 2020" will be directed by director Masaaki Yuasa, with a total of 10 episodes scheduled to premiere exclusively on Netflix on July 9, 2020. AcFun has also confirmed that the work will be exclusively broadcast on AcFun (Mainland China) starting at 18:00 on July 9.
