Today (June 25), a careful audience discovered that the war film "Eight Hundred" directed by Guan Hu has opened a small number of pre-sales in some cities such as Beijing and Chongqing. However, after trying to buy tickets, the reporter of Time.com found that some of these pre-sale venues were unavailable for purchase, which might be a misunderstanding. Industry insiders analyzed that "Eight Hundred" should not have started pre-sale, and these "individual cinemas" may have forgotten to withdraw the previous pre-sale schedule. For example, the theaters in Beijing that started pre-sale of "Eight Hundred" were unable to buy tickets. Another possibility is that some theaters bypassed the film company and started pre-sale privately. If the film company really started pre-sale, the scale could not be so small. Starring Du Chun, Wang Qianyuan, and Jiang Wu, "Eight Hundred" was originally scheduled to be the opening film of this year's Shanghai Film Festival. Later, the film's producer Huayi announced that "the screening of "Eight Hundred" was cancelled due to technical reasons." It is reported that "Eight Hundred" is set against the backdrop of the Anti-Japanese War and tells the story of the "Eight Hundred Warriors" who held on to the Sihang Warehouse under siege by the Japanese army during the Battle of Shanghai in 1937. Directed by Guan Hu, the anti-Japanese war film "The Eight Hundred" will be released in mainland China on July 5. |
