Nolan's new film "Odyssey" first released stills Damon plays Odysseus

Universal Pictures released the first stills of Christopher Nolan's epic film "The Odyssey", in which Hollywood actor Matt Damon plays Odysseus. "The Odyssey" tells the legendary journey of Odysseus, the King of Ithaca, who returned home after ten years of wandering after the Trojan War.

The Odyssey is Nolan's next film after the 2023 successful biopic Oppenheimer, based on the ancient Greek epic first written in the 8th or 7th century BC. It will be released on July 17, 2026.

Official Synopsis: Christopher Nolan's next film, The Odyssey, is a mythological action epic shot around the world using new IMAX film technology. For the first time, the film brings Homer's founding legend to IMAX movie screens and opens in theaters on July 17, 2026.
