George Akiyama, whose real name is Yuji Akiyama, was born in 1943 in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture, Tokyo. He debuted as a cartoonist in 1966 with the publication of "Skeleton Man". His early work "Asura" was already mature in thought and was hailed as a "genius". His long-lived masterpiece "Floating Cloud" won many awards and was serialized for 44 years. |
