Coppola's new film Metropolis will be released in North America on September 27

Francis Ford Coppola's new film Metropolis, directed by The Godfather, announced that it will be released in North America on September 27. The film is distributed by Lionsgate and Francis Ford Coppola holds the copyright. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last month and sparked heated discussions.

It is reported that the final investment of "Metropolis" is as high as 120 million US dollars. It is a two-hour and twenty-minute dystopian feature film. The leading actor Adam Driver plays an architect in the film who accidentally destroyed a New York-style metropolis and worked hard to rebuild it into a sustainable utopia. In the process, he was challenged by the corrupt mayor (Giancarlo Esposito), who wanted to maintain the status quo, and the bureaucrat's daughter (Nathalie Emmanuel) intervened between the two. Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Voight and Laurence Fishburne also participated in the performance of the film.
