The Avatar sequel, which was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will resume filming in New Zealand next week. Film producer Jon Landau announced the news on Twitter, saying that he would fly to New Zealand on May 25 to start filming. To celebrate the resumption of work, Jon Landau also released photos of speedboats in the studio. Both speedboats will appear in the movie, named Matador and Picador. He said that the film sets are ready. Avatar 2 is directed by James Cameron and is expected to be released in 2021. The next three sequels are expected to be released in 2023, 2025 and 2027. But whether the fourth and fifth sequels will be released depends on the box office performance of 2 and 3. Avatar stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver will all return to 2 and continue to play their roles in the previous film. |
