Rebooted version of "Pirates of the Caribbean" reveals new developments, Depp's return as a character remains a mystery

The rebooted version of "Pirates of the Caribbean" is undoubtedly Disney's highlight. Recently, in an interview, the producer of the entire series, Jerry Bruckheimer, said that the entire crew is working hard to write the script. When talking about Johnny Depp's role, Jerry Bruckheimer seemed very hesitant.

Jerry Bruckheimer said: "We are working hard on the script and it will probably be finished soon. I hope Disney will like it. However, I don't know what the result will be. So, we are still working hard. At present, we have been developing this film series. We don't know what Depp's role will be. We will wait and see. This is the only way now." Judging from Jerry Bruckheimer's words, Depp's character is very likely not to return to the new version of "Pirates of the Caribbean". However, this may also be a smokescreen released by Jerry.

The original "Pirates of the Caribbean" series of films is a fantasy adventure film directed by Gore Verbinski, Joachim Ronnie and Espen Sandberg, starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley and others. The original "Pirates of the Caribbean" includes "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl", "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest", "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End", "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales". The series of films tells the story of the grievances of several pirates: Jack was abandoned on a deserted island by another pirate captain, and his "Black Pearl" pirate ship was swindled away; Captain Barbossa needed a special thing to break the spell that turned him into a skeleton under the moonlight; the blacksmith Will was actually the son of a pirate, but he himself did not know it, and he just gave the "heirloom" left behind as a child to his sweetheart.

In addition, there are reports that "Pirates of the Caribbean" is expected to be adapted into a TV series and put on the small screen. However, this plan has been shelved for the time being. First of all, it is difficult to choose actors, after all, the movie version has already been deeply rooted in people's hearts, and secondly, it is difficult to control the cost of the set and special effects. The income of the TV series cannot be compared with that of the movie, so the TV version of "Pirates of the Caribbean" is not currently in Disney's plan.
