Chris Pine expected to join Rocketman director's new film The Saint

Chris Pine, who plays Pine, may be one of the few "Chris" in Hollywood who has not participated in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is currently in negotiations and may be able to join the new action film "The Saint" directed by Dexter Fletcher.

This film is adapted from a series of novels written by Leslie Charteris in the 1920s. In the 1960s, "007" Roger Moore starred in the adapted American TV series "Simon the Duel". In 1997, Val Kilmer starred in the movie version of "The Saint" (the English names of the American TV series and the movie are both "The Saint", but the Chinese translation is different). He wanted to create a series of movies that year, but ultimately failed.

Dexter's recent films "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Rocketman" have both been great successes. The reboot of "The Saint" will be written by Seth Grahame-Smith. The male protagonist Simon Templar is a Robin Hood-like hired thief who participates in various adventures and steals people all over the world. It sounds quite 007-like.

Pai Pai's new work "Wonder Woman 2" will be released nationwide on August 14 this year. He has previously starred in many film series, including the reboot of "Star Trek"; the 2014 "Trigger Force" was originally intended to start the "Jack Ryan" film series, but later failed.
