The drama is adapted from the movie of the same name, directed by Choi Hang-yong, the original director of the movie, and written by Park Eun-kyo, the writer of the movie Mother. Another Korean star, Bae Doona, is also actively considering participating after receiving the suggestion to play the role of an elite team member. The drama is set in the future Earth where global desertification has led to a shortage of water and food. It tells the story of elite team members going to a research base abandoned on the moon to recover suspicious samples.
