Naoki Urasawa creates new illustration of Beethoven to mark his 250th birthday

Beethoven, one of the greatest musicians in human history, celebrates his 250th birthday this year. Today, April 15, Japanese cartoonist Naoki Urasawa created a new illustration for Beethoven. Let’s take a look together.

Beethoven (December 16, 1770 - March 26, 1827), born in Bonn, the Holy Roman Empire-Electorate of Cologne, was one of the representatives of the Vienna Classical School and a composer of the European Classical period. Beethoven's childhood shaped his stubborn, sensitive and excited character. He settled in Vienna at the age of 22, and his "Third Symphony" marked the maturity of his creation. On March 26, 1827, Beethoven died in Vienna at the age of 57.

Japan has launched a commemorative plan for the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth. Cartoonist Naoki Urasawa has been specially invited to create a new illustration for Beethoven. Let's enjoy it together.
