According to recent media reports, the classic horror movie "The Grudge" will be adapted into a TV series "The Grudge: Cursed House", starring Arakawa Ryoyoshi and Kuroshima Yuina. A total of 6 episodes will be launched on Netflix this summer.

The story of the TV series revolves around the ominous things that happened in the "Cursed House", the origin of "The Grudge": Honjo (played by Kuroshima), a newcomer in the entertainment industry, is very troubled by the sound of footsteps he always hears at home at night, so he asks for help from Odashima (played by Arakawa), a psychic scholar he met on a variety show...

The film is directed by Sho Miyake and written by Hiroshi Takahashi and Takashige Ichise (producers of the original Ju-Grudge). It will also star Rika Utsuro, Koki Nagamura, Kai Inowaki, Tokisei Emoto, Atsuko Sendoh, Kana Kurashina, and others.
