Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will never use AI

At a recent investor conference in Japan, Sony Pictures CEO Tony Vinciquerra said that Sony is focusing on AI and mobilizing the use of AI technology in the film production process to improve efficiency: "We are considering using AI to produce theatrical films and TV series, more efficiently and mainly using AI."

As for Tony's decision, Chris Miller, the producer of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, one of Sony's most popular animated series, publicly sang the opposite tune. He said: "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" series will never use AI, "One of the main goals of these films is to create new visual effects that have never been presented in CG films, rather than stealing the average of other artists' works."

It is reported that the third film of the "Spider-Verse" series, "Spider-Man: Beyond the Universe", will be released in 2026. As the sequel to "Across the Universe", the story tells the story of Gwen Stacy leading the newly reorganized Spider-Gang to compete with the Spider Society led by Miguel O'Hara to find Miles Morales who is trapped in the dimension of the spider that bit him, and another version of him as a wanderer, while the spot begins his deadly attack in his dimension, a story with far-reaching multiverse consequences.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Universe was originally scheduled to be released on March 29, 2024, but was forced to be postponed due to the Hollywood strike. In addition to this sequel, the Spider-Verse series will also develop series and spin-offs, including a live-action series starring "Shadow Spider-Man" developed by Amazon and starring Nicolas Cage, who dubbed the original animated character. Another live-action series starring "Spider-Man: Spider Society" is also under development.
