"Sonic the Hedgehog" has a global box office of 200 million US dollars. The box office in 3 days broke the record of "Detective Pikachu"

When Paramount's "Sonic the Hedgehog" was first announced, many people didn't think the movie was a good one, and it seemed destined to become the kind of failed adaptation movie familiar to game players. However, the final result was that "Sonic the Hedgehog" satisfied both old fans and ordinary audiences. Sega announced that "Sonic the Hedgehog" had achieved a global box office of 210 million US dollars in 10 days.

Sonic the Hedgehog has set a new record for a video game adaptation, breaking the U.S. box office record of $54.3 million set by Pokémon: Detective Pikachu in three days. Sonic the Hedgehog grossed more than $58 million in North America in three days. And Sonic the Hedgehog hasn't even been released in Japan, the birthplace of the character!

After the release of the first unedited trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog, many players felt that Sonic's image was too bad and he didn't look like the familiar little hedgehog at all, and fans were obviously unhappy. Later, Paramount took the bold step of delaying the release of the movie and making changes to Sonic's appearance that were more in line with the image of the game. Now this effort has obviously paid off, and it's hard to imagine what the result would have been if the movie had adopted the original design of the character.

At present, Paramount has announced that due to the epidemic situation, the movie "Sonic the Hedgehog" will be withdrawn from the domestic release schedule originally scheduled for February 28, and the specific release time will be announced at a later date.
