"Orphan" will film a prequel to tell the origin story of the perverted heroine

The 2009 thriller "Orphan" will be filmed as a prequel "Esther", which will be directed by William Brent Bell, the director of "The Devil Inside" and "The 2nd Incarnation".

The movie "Orphan" tells the horrible story of a perverted adult woman who disguises herself as a 9-year-old girl and is adopted by a sad couple.

The prequel "Esther" will explore the origin story of this "little girl". In the prequel, the heroine, whose real name is Lena Klammer, successfully escaped from a Russian mental hospital and came to the United States disguised as "Esther", the missing daughter of a wealthy family. But Lena's bold actions encountered obstacles because she clashed with a mother who would protect her family at all costs.

"The Orphanage" was produced by Leonardo Dicaprio. The film had a budget of only 20 million US dollars, but it earned 78 million US dollars at the global box office.
