"Parasite" shines at Oscars, South Korean president sends congratulatory message

Today, the South Korean film "Parasite" won four awards at the Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Film, becoming the pride of South Korean and even Asian films. Upon learning that the film shone at the Oscars, South Korean President Moon Jae-in immediately posted a message on social media to congratulate him.

Moon Jae-in congratulated the film's creators, including director Bong Joon-ho, and thanked them for giving the Korean people pride and courage. Moon Jae-in emphasized that the success of "Parasite" is the result of the continuous efforts of all Korean filmmakers over the past 100 years, and said, "In the future, the government will further provide an environment for filmmakers to give full play to their imagination and make films with confidence."
