Kojima reviews Peter Jackson's new World War I documentary "They Shall Not Grow Old": The characters are lifelike

The World War I documentary "They Shall Not Grow Old", a new work by "The Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson, has received rave reviews after its release. Recently, the famous game producer Hideo Kojima also watched this World War I documentary and gave his comments on Twitter.

Kojima: I watched Peter Jackson's World War I documentary "They Shall Not Grow Old", which was amazing. Through digital magic, it was possible to recreate memories of war that had faded and been forgotten over time. It conveyed more of the essence of war and the emotions of the soldiers than any war film I've ever seen, as if they were really alive.

"They Shall Not Grow Old" focuses on the daily life of soldiers in World War I from 1914 to 1918. Most of the historical materials in the film are made public for the first time. The production team used the most advanced restoration, coloring and 3D technology to restore the images of a hundred years ago in full color and re-add sound effects, and used the oral history of British veterans as narration to restore the experiences and feelings of the soldiers in World War I, presenting an immersive and extremely realistic immersive war experience to the audience.
