Netflix's The Witcher TV series is so popular that 500,000 copies of The Witcher novels have been reprinted in the US market

The success of Netflix's The Witcher TV series has led to a significant revival of CDPR's game The Witcher 3, which has surpassed 94,000 concurrent Steam players, more than when The Witcher 3 was first released on Steam in 2015. However, gaming is not the only place where White Wolf is enjoying a resurgence.

According to Kotaku UK, earlier this week publisher Orbit Books said it was printing 500,000 copies of Andrzej Sapkowski's novel to meet new demand in the US market.

Orbit said: “With The Witcher, Andrzej Sapkowski created one of the most memorable characters in modern fantasy. The series inspired one of the most popular video games in recent years. We’re thrilled that the Netflix adaptation, which premiered in December, is introducing The Witcher to a whole new audience.

Demand for all eight novels has grown over the past year in anticipation of Netflix’s The Witcher TV series, and sales have been phenomenal across all formats, print, digital and audio, since launch. Orbit’s US division is currently reprinting 500,000 copies to meet exceptional demand.”

The 8 novels of "The Witcher" are divided into 2 short story collections and 6 novels.
