The black justice film "Just Mercy" IGN 8 points: realistic performance

"Just Mercy," a new legal film about the redress of injustice against black people starring Michael B. Jordan, will be released in a small number of theaters in the United States on December 25, 2019. Today (December 24), IGN gave it a score of 8, and said that the film's powerful performances and directing have greatly improved the film compared to traditional films of the same theme, and also made this film adapted from real events leave a deep impression on the audience.

IGN: Just Mercy could have easily been a bland movie, but it didn't end up that way, with a strong cast and performances that show how to make choices in a corrupt justice system. Because of the need for adaptability, the imagery created by the film looks glamorous on the surface, but it doesn't dilute the "stench", and because of this, its realism can be expressed in a thoughtful way.

"Just Mercy" is adapted from the best-selling book "Just Mercy: Suffering and Redemption in American Justice" written by American lawyer Bryan Stevenson. It tells how Stevenson fought for judicial justice in a flawed legal system and made great contributions to promoting the improvement of the American criminal justice system. The film focuses on Stevenson's first case: Black youth Walter McMillian was sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit. He had sufficient alibi, but was acquitted after spending 6 years on death row.
