Embracer Group, through its subsidiary Crystal Dynamics Studios, has signed a new deal with Amazon MGM Studios to create new Tomb Raider properties for streaming and film, and has announced a new streaming series that will be written and executive produced by actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Her credits as an actor, producer and screenwriter include Fleabag, Killing Eve and Raiders of the Lost Ark. New Tomb Raider episodes will premiere on streaming services in more than 240 countries and territories around the world. “Amazon MGM Studios and Amazon Games are fantastic partners with a huge global reach that will allow us to expand our Tomb Raider franchise with multiple new adventures,” said Scott Amos, head of Crystal Dynamics Studios. “We are all passionate about creating impactful, entertaining, and emotionally charged experiences within this universe for players and audiences alike.” Crystal Dynamics had previously established a new partnership with Amazon in December 2022.
