Dune movie: Will be "nightmare" and "brutal"

In less than a week, Oscar Isaac will be starring in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which will be released to audiences around the world. He will continue to play the role of Poe Dameron, a pilot of the Resistance. In a recent interview, Oscar talked about another work, the live-action adaptation of Dune directed by Denis Villeneuve. The director himself had previously commented that Dune was "Star Wars for adults."

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Oscar described Dune as "nightmare" and "brutal", which also proves that Dune will indeed be faithful to the original novel. "It will be a very, very different movie. I can't imagine who is more suitable for Frank Herbert's novel than Denis. Some of the content is nightmarish, and many elements are very brutal, which makes people feel instinctively shocked and horrified."

This classic novel has many controversial points, and it seems that Villeneuve has no intention of sugarcoating it. Oscar said that he is really excited about the film and thinks it will be very special. "I know that Dennis, me, Timothée Chalamet and Rebecca are like family, and we really found the emotions in it. I am super excited. This film will be very cool, unique and different."

An all-star lineup including "Sweet Tea" Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, "Thanos" Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, "Destroyer" Dave Bautista, Jason Momoa and Chang Chen co-starred in "Dune". Villeneuve has previously directed science fiction masterpieces such as "Blade Runner 2049" and "Arrival", and he is currently working on the sequel to "Dune".

"Dune" will be released on December 18 next year, which is almost a whole year away, so let's wait and see.
