Rurouni Kenshin celebrates its 25th anniversary with the first commemorative exhibition unveiled

The popular manga "Rurouni Kenshin" based on the original work by Nobuhiro Watsuki will celebrate its 25th anniversary. On December 4, the official announced that the first commemorative exhibition will be held in Tokyo from April 24, 2020. Interested fans who have the conditions can pay attention to it.

"Rurouni Kenshin" is a manga serialized in the Japanese Weekly Shonen Jump from 1994 to 1999. The author is Nobuhiro Watsuki. The old version has 28 volumes and the new version has 22 volumes.
The story of this work takes place in Tokyo in the early years of the Meiji Restoration. The protagonist, Kenshin Himura, was a reformist executioner in the late shogunate, known as "Battosai", who killed countless people. In the new era, he wanders around with a reverse-edged sword, determined not to kill anymore. In the Kamiya Dojo in Tokyo, Kenshin met Kaoru and a group of friends. Has he found the direction of the sword and the belonging of the heart?

This 25th anniversary exhibition is also the first special exhibition for the series. There will be more original manuscripts, secret materials, illustrations and commemorative peripherals about "Rurouni Kenshin" released, so stay tuned.
