Nicolas Cage and Sono Sion's new film released on set

The thriller "Prisoners of Ghostland" directed by Sono Sion and starring Nicolas Cage and Sofia Boutella is currently being filmed in Japan, and several main creators appeared on the set.

This film is Sono Sion's English-language debut, written by Aaron Hendry and Reza Sixo Safai. The story tells of a kidnapped girl who disappears into a dark supernatural universe, and a notorious criminal hero (played by Cage) is sent to rescue her. They must break the evil curse that binds them and escape the mysterious ghosts that rule the ghostland. This will be a "mix of Eastern and Western styles, a work of beauty and violence."

Although Nicolas Cage and Sono Sion are active in different countries, they are both B-movie "geniuses" known for their uninhibited and wild nature. The cooperation between these two "perverts" makes people look forward to what results will be achieved.

Ed Skrein, Imogen Poots, Bill Moseley and others also star. The release date has not yet been determined.
