Some people will evolve bulletproof skin, invisibility and super strength, while many others will show more deadly reactions. However, when the pill escalates crime in the city to dangerous levels, a local policeman (Joseph) teams up with a teenage vendor (Dominique Fishback) and a former soldier who swears to avenge his personal vendetta (Jamie Foxx) to take the risk of taking the pill to track down and stop the team that created the pill.
