The first poster of the animated film "The Lord of the Rings: The Battle of Rohan" is released! Everyone knows about the magnificent War of the Rings in Middle-earth. 200 years before this epic battle, an even older story is about to be revealed... After a ten-year absence, the epic of Middle-earth is about to return to the screen, using animation to interpret an ancient legend behind the scenes of "The Lord of the Rings": 200 years before the War of the Ring, Rohan was in turmoil in the civil strife known as the "Long Winter"; when King Helm "Hammerhand" was trapped in the lonely castle and became mad with grief over the loss of his son, his only remaining daughter, Princess Hela, must lead Rohan to a desperate fight. It was the "Long Winter" that shaped the Rohan we are familiar with: until the time of "The Two Towers", the people of Rohan still remembered the long blast of Helm's horn, nor had they forgotten their old feud with the rebellious Dunlending people; Saruman, who took advantage of the chaos to rule Isengard, eventually became a great threat to Rohan. The film is executive produced by Peter Jackson, and Philippa Boyens, the screenwriter of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, serves as a consultant. It is directed by Kenji Kamiyama, the director of the "Ghost in the Shell SAC" series and "Blade Runner: Black Lotus", and will be released in North America on December 13. |
