New York City designates November 15th as Gundam Day to honor Yoshiyuki Tomino

On November 15th, local time in New York, the "Animation NYC" exhibition officially opened. At the opening ceremony, the New York City Council announced that November 15th of each year would be designated as "Gundam Day" to honor Yoshiyuki Tomino's 40 years of contribution to bringing happiness to fans around the world with the "Gundam" series.

"Mobile Suit Gundam" is the work of Yoshiyuki Tomino. Since its debut in 1979, it has become one of the most famous, most enduring, largest and most profitable series in Japanese animation. It has now gone through 40 years and is still thriving.

·Member Carlos of the New York City Council formally presented the "Gundam Day" certificate to Tomino Yoshiyuki to express the American people's respect and recognition for the Japanese Gundam creator.
