The classic comedy "Friends" premiered on September 22, 1994, and it has been exactly 25 years since September this year. To commemorate this special period, Warner Bros. specially customized 30 replicas of the iconic sofas in the Central Perk Cafe in "Friends" and placed them in landmark landscapes around the world such as the Grand Canyon in Colorado for fans to take photos. The sofa originally used in the show came from Warner's studio warehouse, and when it was pulled out for use, some flaws were found on the back and armrests. However, the director thought that it was normal for furniture to be worn out in a public setting, so he did not abandon the sofa. After being reinforced with plywood, the sofa officially began its long 10-season TV career. In fact, the "original sofa" did not last until the end, and the crew had to restore a replica as it was. After the original was retired, Warner collected it and exhibited it. It has long become one of the primary goals for fans of the series to visit the studio's holy land. In addition to the official Grand Canyon, the replica of this legendary sofa will also be placed in world-renowned tourist destinations such as the Empire State Building in New York, the Willis Tower in Chicago, the London Eye in the UK, Stonehenge, and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. This kind of lineup should also be inspired by HBO. In order to promote the final season of "Game of Thrones", HBO built six replicas of the Iron Throne and toured around the world, which played an extraordinary publicity effect. |
