Tadanobu Asano is expected to join "Mortal Kombat" to play the "Japanese Thunder God" Raiden

After Ludi Lin confirmed his participation, the game-adapted movie "Mortal Kombat: Destruction" produced by James Wan revealed its cast one after another.

Tadanobu Asano is expected to play the "Japanese God of Thunder" Raiden, "Supergirl" and "True Blood" actor Mehcad Brooks will play the special forces soldier Jax, Australian newcomer Sisi Stringer will play the assassin killer Mileena, and earlier confirmed actors include "The Raid" actor Joe Taslim who will play Absolute Zero, and Ludi Lin who will play the Shaolin monk Liu Kang.

The film is directed by Simon McQuoid, a commercial director, and will start shooting in Adelaide, Australia. It is currently known that the film is rated R, and the plot has not yet been revealed. It is scheduled to be released in North America on March 5, 2021.
