Film projects of "SPL 3" and "New Across the World" were approved

The film "SPL 3" has been filed and approved, with Liang Liyan as the screenwriter. It is a co-production. The filing companies are: Lianrui (Shanghai) Film Co., Ltd., Feifan Entertainment Production Co., Ltd. (Hong Kong, China), Infinite Power Industrial Co., Ltd. (Hong Kong, China), and Pomegranate Film Co., Ltd. (Hong Kong, China).

Synopsis:

Bodyguard Chen Jie was hired by the Eastern European International Pharmaceutical Company to protect the chief pharmaceutical researcher Xia Bing. As they spent time together, they developed an ambiguous relationship, but Xia Bing was kidnapped by Xiong San, who demanded 200 million yuan from the pharmaceutical company as a ransom. Chen Jie vowed to rescue Xia Bing, but was stopped by the mysterious pursuer Song Chengkang, and eventually uncovered the unknown scandal behind the pharmaceutical company.

"SPL 1" was released in Hong Kong, China in 2005, with a box office of 7.245 million Hong Kong dollars. It was directed by Wilson Yip, written by Wilson Yip and Szeto Kam-yuen, action director and lead actor Donnie Yen, starring Sammo Hung and Simon Yam, with a special performance by Wu Jing, and won the Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Action Choreography.

"SPL 2" was released in 2015 with a box office of 560 million RMB. It was directed by Soi Cheang, written by Huang Ying and Liang Liyan, action directed by Li Zhongzhi, and starred by Tony Jia, Wu Jing, Simon Yam and Zhang Jin. Like the previous film, it won the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Action Choreography.

In addition to "SPL 3", another film "New Across the Four Seas" written by Wang Rixiang was approved today. The filing companies are Xiamen Zizai Interactive Entertainment Culture Media Co., Ltd. and Jingyi Creative Studio Co., Ltd. (Hong Kong, China)

Synopsis:

Once a Thief is a 1991 Hong Kong film directed by John Woo, with action design by Jason Kwok, and starring Chow Yun-fat, Leslie Cheung, and Cherie Chung. The film was shot in Paris, France, and Hong Kong. The film was nominated for four awards at the 11th Hong Kong Film Awards.
