It is reported that although there are still more than five months to the end of the year, Disney Studios' 2019 global box office has exceeded 7.67 billion US dollars, including 5.09 billion US dollars in overseas box office, breaking Disney's 2016 annual global box office of 7.61 billion US dollars. This is also the first time in history that a Hollywood studio's box office outside the United States has exceeded 5 billion US dollars.

In 2019, three Disney films grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, including Marvel's Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel, and Aladdin. According to foreign media forecasts, Pixar's animated feature Toy Story 4 and the recently released Lion King are also expected to reach $1 billion in the next few weeks.

Prior to this, Disney set an industry record in 2016: 4 films achieved a global box office of $1 billion. It is worth mentioning that Disney accounted for 45% of the global box office of $16 billion this year.
