Fallout Season 2 is expected to see the classic monster Deathclaw join

The first season of the live-action Fallout TV series was well received, but the only disappointment was that the iconic monster "Deathclaw" from the game series did not appear.

In a recent interview with The Wrap, showrunner Graham Wagner explained the reason for Deathclaw's absence and said that there is a high probability that Deathclaw will appear in the second season - if it is indeed renewed.

He explained that the deathclaw was not included in the first season due to a basic storytelling principle: "We wanted the deathclaw, but we didn't want to just throw it out there. It's a landmark piece."

“We wanted to keep some things in reserve for Season 2 so that we could apply it properly and not just add to the huge world-building that we were already doing in Season 1. So in Season 2, we’re really excited to finally depict one of the most iconic elements of the game.”

This was mainly due to the team wanting to avoid filling the first season with so much content that viewers who hadn't played the games would lose interest in the series itself. "We didn't want the show to look like it was written by someone who spent ten minutes reading the Fallout page on Wikipedia but couldn't be bothered to delve deeper," said showrunner Geneve Roberson-Dworet.

"So it was important for us to have some deep narrative in season one. Hopefully, we won't piss off the fans because we didn't include all the elements that would piss them off. Hopefully, they'll be patient with us and pray with us that we'll have a chance to bring that to the screen in season two."

Fallout Season 2 has not been officially confirmed and Amazon Prime has yet to renew it, but if it is confirmed to be filmed, then Season 1 has laid a good foundation for the subsequent stories.
