Tears disappeared in the rain. The actor who played the classic villain Roy in "Blade Runner" passed away

"I have seen things that you humans would never believe. I have seen battleships on fire at the edge of the Orion constellation. I have watched C-rays blaze in the darkness near the Tannhauser Gate. All of these moments will eventually disappear in time, just like tears disappear in the rain. The time to die has come."

Friends who have watched the classic cyberpunk movie "Blade Runner" must be impressed by the poetic lines above. The last words of the villain Roy at the last moment of his life burning out also made actor Rutger Hauer famous. However, this Dutch actor who touched and made us think deeply passed away at his home on July 19.

According to a statement from his agent published by Variety, Hal passed away at his home in the Netherlands after a brief illness at the age of 75. Hal's funeral was held on Wednesday local time, hosted by his second wife Cate, with whom he had spent 50 years, and his daughter Aysha Hauer.

Hal's classic lines have a profound impact on film history and have also been honored in the new "Blade Runner 2049". It is said that Hal came up with these lines completely on the spot (some say he thought of them the night before filming), and "C-rays" and "Tannhauser Gate" have no practical meaning at all. The astonishment, surprise and confusion of the lead actor Harrison Ford after listening to this impromptu performance just fit the scene at the time, and many coincidences created this famous scene.

Rutger Hauer is actually a prolific actor, and has also appeared in "Eagle and Wolf", "Iron Eagle", "Cold Blooded", "The Hitchhiker" and so on.

In "Blade Runner", Roy died in 2019, and Hal also passed away in 2019 in reality. This may be God's will.
