Downey Jr.'s pay for Avengers 4 is over 500 million RMB

According to foreign media reports, Robert Downey Jr. will earn up to 75 million US dollars (equivalent to about 515 million yuan) for starring in "Avengers 4: End Game".

In 2008, Downey played Tony Stark in "Iron Man", which opened the curtain for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At that time, his salary was only $500,000. Now, the Marvel Universe series has become the world's best-selling superhero movie, and Downey has become an indispensable figure in the series. With his considerable income from the movie, he has jumped into the top three of this year's Forbes actor income list.

Marvel has previously paid Robert Downey Jr. about $20 million for his role in Avengers 4. Currently, the global box office of Avengers 4 has exceeded $2.77 billion. It is estimated that Marvel has made a profit of about $700 million. The media has disclosed that Downey also holds 8% of the global box office share, which means that Downey will receive about $55 million.

Other Marvel actors also earn a lot of money. Bradley Cooper, who voices Rocket Raccoon, also has a 1% share of the profits, which will bring him about $7 million. It has also been reported that Scarlett Johansson will receive $20 million for her role in Black Widow.

According to Forbes, Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, Robert Downey Jr., Bradley Cooper, Scarlett Johansson, and Chris Evans received a total of more than $340 million in salary last year. As we all know, Marvel doesn't pay actors much, but as time goes by, the rising salary has forced Marvel to reconsider the renewal of the actors' contracts, which will affect the filming plan of the sequel.
