Fallout TV series gets $25 million in tax credits for second season

Although the first season of Amazon's "Fallout" live-action TV series has not yet officially aired, there are already signs that fans of the series will have a second season to watch.

According to Deadline, the live-action "Fallout" TV series received a $25 million (approximately RMB 180 million) tax credit and will film its second season in California.

Deadline reports that the money is "conditional" and does not guarantee that Fallout Season 2 will be made, as some shows that received California tax credits were later forced to withdraw from the program. However, it does make Season 2 more hopeful.

In an interview with Total Film last month, Fallout co-writer and co-showrunner Graham Wagner also spoke about the possibility of a second season of the show. Wagner noted that the team has "many, many things that we want to dig into after success. We're crossing our fingers that we get the opportunity to do all of those things."

And if filming budget is one of the biggest hurdles for season 2, then California's $25 million tax credit could go a long way.

The live-action series Fallout will premiere on April 11.
