Robert Downey Jr. to return to Marvel Universe as Iron Man

Robert Downey Jr. to return to Marvel Universe as Iron Man

Although the death of Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame seemed to bring an end to Robert Downey Jr.'s time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Oscar winner is more than willing to play Tony Stark/Iron Man again.

In an interview with Esquire, Downey briefly touched on whether he would return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future.

Downey told the magazine: "I would love to. This character is so integral to my DNA. And, I always say, never underestimate Kevin Feige. This is a losing bet. He's the house. He's always going to win."

In Avengers: Endgame, Iron Man sacrificed himself to snap his fingers using the Infinity Stones and wipe out Thanos and his army, a plot device that led many fans to believe that Downey had bid farewell to the role forever.

Therefore, although Iron Man died in "Avengers: Endgame", it is not impossible for Downey Jr. to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to play this role. EA is developing a new "Iron Man" game. I wonder if Robert Downey Jr. will have the opportunity to work with Marvel again and appear in the new "Iron Man" game?
