Netflix announces winner of 'Squidward Gamble' reality show will become a millionaire

Netflix announced today (June 15) that its popular series "Squidward" will be adapted into a reality show called "Squidward: The Great Challenge". The reality show will be 10 episodes long, and the official also stated that the winner will receive the largest cash prize in reality show history: $4.56 million.

In this reality show-inspired Korean drama, hundreds of contestants play various deadly childhood games, such as "123, wooden man", candy picking game, etc., to get a huge prize to get out of debt, but the losers will be killed. But don't worry, in the real reality show version, the failed contestants will not be killed. Netflix said that "the worst fate is to return empty-handed." But like the drama, the reality show will have 456 contestants, and Netflix said it will be the largest number of reality show contestants ever.

Squidward is Netflix’s most popular show ever. It’s not even the first “real life” Squidward: YouTuber Mr Beast spent $3.5 million last year to recreate the show’s set, which was viewed by 250 million people. Mod makers have also created similar content in Roblox and Minecraft.
