Netflix to create original animated series Transformers: War for Cybertron to be released in 2020

The Transformers spin-off "Bumblebee" has proved that there is still a market for this series. Today, Netflix announced that it will create a new original animation series - the "Transformers: War for Cybertron" trilogy.

"War For Cybertron" will be broadcast in 2020. It will adopt a new animation style and will be an original plot, showing the origin of the battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons.

"War for Cybertron" will explore the "expanded universe" of the Autobots' home planet Cybertron and "show audiences scenes they've never seen before." Netflix has selected a large number of behind-the-scenes talents from other "Transformers" cartoon spin-offs to write for this work.
