Cameron criticizes Aquaman for underwater scenes not being realistic

James Wan's Aquaman has achieved great success around the world. In addition to the huge box office gains, it also "rescued" Aquaman from the daily clichés of American netizens. Recently, the film has been affirmed by "God of Cards" James Cameron, but the underwater scenes have also been criticized by Cameron.

Cameron said in an interview with Yahoo that the Aquaman movie is fun, but he went on to explain why he would never make a movie like that

In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Cameron was asked about his opinion on Aquaman. "I find it very interesting that I will never be able to make this kind of movie because it requires a dreamlike feeling that is completely detached from the physical meaning and reality. People can move freely underwater like that because of the spiritual drive. I don't understand it, but it's cool that you can move freely (underwater)."

Cameron couldn't understand why the Atlanteans in the movie could move freely in the water because he had accumulated too much real-life experience in "Titanic" and "Deepsea Challenge" which he produced himself. Especially when filming "Deepsea Challenge", he conducted many solo deep-sea dives and successfully dived to the deepest part of the world's oceans - the Mariana Trench in the submersible "Deepsea Challenger", with a diving depth of 35,756 feet.

Cameron admitted: " I have been underwater for thousands of hours. Although I like this movie very much, I can't resonate with it because it doesn't seem realistic enough ." In addition, Cameron believes that the film also makes everyone realize that to some extent humans use the ocean as a toilet and trash can, "so I applaud this film."

It is worth mentioning that in the American TV series "Entourage", the male lead Adrian Grenier played an up-and-coming actor Vincent. In the show, his agent arranged for him to star in the movie version of "Aquaman", directed by James Cameron, and the film was ultimately a great success. Cameron said: "In my version, environmentalism will play a more important role. I think I did a good job in this regard. I think I really made that movie! (referring to the fake "Aquaman" in "Entourage")"

"Alita: Battle Angel" produced by James Cameron will be released in mainland theaters on February 22, and the film "Avatar 2" directed by him will be released on December 18 next year. I wonder what kind of real experience this film will bring to everyone.
