Hulu may take over Marvel superhero dramas such as "Daredevil" and "Luke Cage"

After Netflix canceled three Marvel superhero dramas, "Daredevil," "Luke Cage" and "Iron Fist," Hulu has now expressed its willingness to take over and may revive "Daredevil" and "Luke Cage."

Hulu's senior vice president Craig Erwich said in an interview with TheWrap that they are interested in any IP under the Marvel name. "Marvel has a lot of IPs that we are interested in," Erwich said. "We have worked with Marvel on "Runaways," but the arrival of new IPs depends on when they (Marvel) are ready. More importantly, once we take over these IPs, other competitors can only chase us."

In the past few months, Netflix has canceled three of the five Marvel TV series, including Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. The second season of The Punisher was officially released at the end of January this year, and the long-awaited third season of Jessica Jones is also coming soon. However, after the second season of The Punisher was released last month, Netflix did not release any news about the third season.

However, a clause Netflix reached with Disney earlier showed that within two years of the cancellation of the series' renewal, no one could appear in any form in series and movies outside of Netflix platforms. This also means that the characters in "Daredevil", "Luke Cage" and "Iron Fist" cannot appear on TV screens before 2020.
